This morning I noticed that Johny’s cover for his car was in the garage. I went to the side of our house to check on his car. I was horrified to see that it was gone!
I called Richard at work to ask him why he had taken Johny’s car. He said that he needed it to drive to and from the bus stop. I got upset and told him that he had no right to take it. He told me it was okay since he had bought the car. I reminded him that Johny had worked at DI and had earned every penny himself. Richard still felt it was his right to take it.
When I got Johny’s weekly email, he asked how his car was doing. It was almost as if he knew his dad was going to take it. I told him what had happened and that I had tried to get his dad to put it back.
Johny got upset and wrote his dad to tell him to put it back immediately. Richard reluctantly put it back. I don’t think I will ever be able to understand Richard or why he seems to only care about himself.

I am so proud of Laila. She is going to College and is paying her own way.
Laila got a boyfriend named *Duke. He proposed to her today. They set the wedding date for May 10, 2024.

Duke seems like a nice guy. He kinda reminds me of Richard. Hopefully, he will be good to Laila. Laila is so happy and excited about her upcoming wedding.

Sarah has moved to Tooele and has been living there for a few months. She called me today because there are bed bugs at her apartment, and she can’t get rid of them. She wanted to know if she could move back home.
I was very sick with a cold and asked her if it could wait a few days. She said she had so many bug bites and needed to get out right away. I had never had bed bugs before, so I didn’t know how bad it could be. Sarah sounded desperate to get out of her apartment, so I went to help her move out.
When I got to her place, we went to work. We put everything in plastic bags. We put some of her stuff in a dumpster and transferred the rest in Ralph’s truck.
I didn’t want to risk getting bed bugs, so when we got to my place, we stripped naked in the backyard, and then we had a shower. The clothes we were wearing we put straight in my washing machine. We washed everything in hot water and dried it twice to make sure there were no bugs.
Going through all of Sarah’s things and making sure everything was washed took 3 days. It was a huge job, one that I never want to experience ever again!

A while back, Richard enclosed our back patio. He said it was so we could have one more room. He never did finish it.
Sarah had a cat and a dog. Since I am allergic to cats, and her dog kept having accidents, Sarah said she didn’t mind living in the room that was never finished.
I painted the floor and put curtains up so that her room would be a little nicer than it was.

Laila’s in-laws want Laila and their son to have a big wedding.
Since Richard doesn’t want to pay for any of it, and I don’t have any money, Laila’s in-laws are paying for the wedding.

Laila got married in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was such a beautiful bride!
I am so happy for her!
Since Johny was on a mission, we had a cutout of him.
